On 4 October, three servicemen who gave their lives in the struggle for Ukraine were posthumously honoured during an event for the Day of Defenders of Ukraine at the Youth Community Cultural Centre “Molodist”.
Mykola Shchepnyi (Mykola Romanovych) was honoured with the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine distinction, the medal “Cross of Valour”, and the state award of Ukraine, the Order “For Courage” III class.
Rostyslav Yurchyshyn (Rostyslav Ihorovych) was posthumously awarded the honorary badge of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “Golden Cross”.
Oleksandr Savosin (Oleksandr Anatoliiovych) was awarded the state award of Ukraine, the Order “For Courage” II class.
The organisers stressed that the feat of the fallen defenders will forever remain in the community’s memory, and their sacrifice is an example of courage and loyalty to Ukraine.
