At 09:00, the city observed a minute’s silence in memory of Pavlo Lats.
Alongside the warrior’s daughters, his friends and families who had also lost loved ones in the war joined the commemoration. They stood guard over the memory not only of Pavlo Lats, but of all the Defenders, both men and women, who gave their lives for Ukraine.
Participants in the event stressed that remembering, honouring and not forgetting the fallen soldiers is a shared duty of society.
