On February 11, 2026, in the afternoon, an air threat was recorded over Lviv region. A MiG-31K fighter jet, which is capable of carrying hypersonic Kinzhal missiles, was detected taking off. As a result, an air raid alert was announced throughout Ukraine, including in Lviv Oblast.
According to the Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, the following developments were reported:

A missile was launched from a MiG-31K aircraft.

A high-speed target was detected heading toward Lviv region.

It was later confirmed that the missile was moving directly toward the city of Lviv.

Residents were urged to stay in shelters as the threat remained active.

Another missile was reported launched in the direction of the region.
Additionally, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi confirmed that a Kinzhal missile was flying toward the city. Air defense systems were heard operating in the area.
