On Sunday, Lviv will say goodbye to Hero Vitaly Zaritsky

У Віталія Заріцького залишилися батьки, дружина, двоє дітей та двоє молодших братів.

Tomorrow, December 25, Lviv will say goodbye to Vitaly Zaritsky, who died defending Ukraine from the Russian invaders. The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

The funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, at 10:30 a city farewell ceremony will be held on Rynok Square. The Hero will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

Route of the funeral procession: Garrison Church of St. App. Peter and Paul UGCC (Tetralna Street, 11) – sq. Cathedral – square Rynok (city farewell ceremony) – str. Ruska – st. Basement – st. Volodymyr Vinnichenko – square Soborna – st. Pekarska – st. Shimzeriv – st. Mechnikova – Lychakiv cemetery.

 

Biographical reference of the Hero

 

Vitaly Zaritskyi (21.08.1996-20.12.2022) was born in the village of Velika Susytsia, Lviv Region.

 

He studied at the General Secondary Education Institute of the I-II degrees in the village of Velyka Sushytsia. He graduated from the State Vocational and Technical Educational Institution “Nyzhankovytskyi Vocational Lyceum”.

After completing his studies, he signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the ranks of the 80th separate airborne assault brigade of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In peacetime, he worked as a truck driver.

Performed combat missions in the area of the Anti-Terrorist Operation/Operation of the United Forces in the ranks of the 80th Brigade. For the personal heroism shown during the defense of the Motherland, he was awarded the “Participant of ATO” badge.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the terrorist state, he defended state sovereignty and territorial integrity from the Russian invaders.

Vitaly Zaritsky is survived by his parents, wife, two children and two younger brothers.
