On 2 June 2026, after a long period of treatment, a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Taras Volodymyrovych Kolodii, born in 1978, passed away. This was reported by the Novyi Rozdil City Council.
As noted, Taras Kolodii was called up for military service to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2024. He served in military unit A5001, where he faithfully fulfilled his military duty, defending Ukraine’s independence and territorial integrity.
After a lengthy battle with a serious illness, the serviceman died in the intensive care hospital in the city of Stryi.
The Novyi Rozdil community expressed sincere condolences to the family, relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms of Taras Kolodii, and noted that the bright memory of him will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
The community bows its head in sorrow and gratitude for his service to Ukraine, honouring the memory of the Defender.
