The Radekhiv community has reported the death of serviceman and Radekhiv resident Volodymyr Ostapchuk. The soldier, a master of the 1st repair section for armoured vehicles of the armoured vehicles repair platoon of the 2nd repair company, died on 13 October 2026. He was born on 10 April 1973.
On behalf of the entire community, the Radekhiv City Council extended its sincere condolences to the soldier’s family, relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms, noting that it shares their pain at this heavy loss.
The funeral cortege with the body of the fallen defender is scheduled to be met on Monday, 19 October 2026, at 11:00. Residents of Radekhiv are asked to come out to the Heavenly Hundred stele and along Tarnavskoho Street to form a guard of honour and pay their last respects to the serviceman.
After this, the cortege will proceed to the Church of St Nicholas in Radekhiv, where the funeral service for the soldier will take place immediately.
