On 18 March 2026, while carrying out a combat mission in Donetsk region, a soldier from the Lopatyn settlement territorial community, resident of the village of Shchurovychi, Sviderskyi Volodymyr Mykolaiovych, born in 2003, was killed.
After the battle, the serviceman had been considered missing in action since March 2026. Later, DNA test results confirmed his death.
The cortege bearing the body of the fallen defender is expected to arrive on 7 August 2026 at 10:30 in the town of Radekhiv. Residents of Radekhiv are asked to come to the Heavenly Hundred stele and along Tarnavskoho Street to the Church of St Nicholas to form a living corridor and pay their respects to the warrior as he is laid to rest.
