In Radekhiv District, Families of Two Fallen Soldiers Received State Awards Posthumously

Recently, a solemn ceremony was held in the Radekhiv district to honor the families of two Heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine.

▪️ Serhii Slyniavuk, born in 2001, was awarded the Order of Courage, Third Class, by a decree of the President of Ukraine. He served in the 79th Air Assault Brigade and carried out combat missions on the frontlines in Mariinka.
On January 19, 2023, Serhii sustained a severe head injury and spent a prolonged time in hospitals in Dnipro and Kyiv. While in a coma, he marked his birthday on January 26, but his heart stopped on January 29, 2023.
The posthumous award was presented to his mother, Mariia Mykhailivna Slyniavuk.

▪️ Yaroslav Maznyk, born in 1982, was also awarded the Order of Courage, Third Class, by a presidential decree. He served in the reconnaissance platoon of the 24th Mechanized Brigade as a squad commander with the rank of senior soldier.
Yaroslav died on March 26, 2023, in the Bakhmut district of Donetsk region, near the village of Pivnichne, during a combat mission. His group was ambushed by enemy machine gun and heavy artillery fire. Yaroslav provided cover for his comrades’ retreat and was fatally shot. His body was retrieved only two months later.
The posthumous award was presented to his wife, Iryna Vasylivna Maznyk.

The awards were handed over by the head of the Radekhiv City Council, Stepan Kokhanchuk, together with Major Andrii Vynar, a representative of the Territorial Recruitment Center.
