With deep sorrow, we inform you that on September 26, 2024, during a combat mission in the Donetsk region, a resident of the city of Radekhiv, former commander of the 2nd machine gun section of the machine gun platoon of the 1st Jaeger Battalion, Senior Sergeant Vasyl Ivanovych Kostyshak, born on 05.08.1971, was killed. Until March 4, 2026, he was considered missing, but DNA testing confirmed his death. The Radekhiv City Council and the entire community express sincere condolences to the family, friends, and comrades of the fallen soldier.
