Man injured in Lviv shelling on 4 September dies in intensive care

Bohdan Kryl, who was seriously injured in a rocket attack on Lviv on 4 September, died after almost a month of treatment.

Doctors fought for his life all the time, he underwent surgeries and prolonged treatment, but unfortunately, he died last night.

This brings the number of victims of the Russian shelling of Lviv in early September to eight.

According to the city health department, after the shelling, a man born in 1955 was taken to St Panteleimon’s Hospital with a severe chest injury. For 29 days, the patient was in critical condition with no positive dynamics, underwent one major and a number of minor surgeries.

From the first day, he was connected to a lung ventilator and was on daily dialysis. The cause of death was severe respiratory and renal failure.

Bohdan Kryl became the second resident of the house at 46 Konovaltsia Street in Lviv to die.

Today, at 19:00, a parastas will be held in the Church of St Joseph the Betrothed at the Monastery of the Sisters of Charity of St Vincent at 11 Zaliznyak Street. On Thursday, 3 October, at 10:00, the funeral service will begin in the same church.

On the morning of 4 September, the enemy launched a combined attack on Lviv with rockets and shaheds. The attack killed 8 people, including 1 child.

Another 71 people needed medical assistance, including 10 children. 189 buildings were destroyed (residential buildings, 7 educational institutions, 2 sports facilities, 2 medical institutions and 1 cultural institution, as well as 1 church).
