Ripniv to bid farewell to soldier Andriy Borys, who was killed in Donetsk region

The body of soldier Andriy Borys, who was killed on 31 August 2025 while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Vyiimka in Bakhmut district of Donetsk region, is returning to his native village of Ripniv in the Busk area.

The cortege with the soldier’s body will leave the morgue of the Busk Central District Hospital municipal non-profit enterprise at 15:00 on Tuesday, 11 August. Escorted by the police, the column will proceed through Busk along Lvivska Street to the 900th Anniversary of Busk Square by the city council, after which it will turn back in the opposite direction.

The cortege will then continue along the Kyiv–Chop motorway, bypassing the villages of Kizliv and Novyi Myljatyn, and will head towards the village of Ripniv. At 16:00, the funeral service will begin in the courtyard of the warrior’s home.

Residents of the community are urged to join the mourning procession, to honour the memory of the fallen defender of Ukraine and to accompany him with dignity on his final journey.

According to the order of Busk Mayor Rostyslav Slipets, 11 August has been declared a Day of Mourning in the Busk urban territorial community for the fallen soldier Andriy Borys.
