At 12:00 on 31 August 2026, a peaceful rally to mark the International Day of the Disappeared is scheduled to take place in the city of Sambir. The event is dedicated to supporting the families of service personnel and civilians who have gone missing in special circumstances.
The organisers emphasise that the rally aims to draw public attention to the issue of missing persons, as well as to demonstrate the community’s unity and concern for every family waiting for news of their loved ones. For the relatives of the missing, it is important to feel that they are not left alone with their pain and the long wait.
