On the grounds of the school in the village of Ostriv, an Alley of Memory will be created for alumni-heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine’s independence.
The initiative belongs to the mothers and wives of the fallen soldiers, as shared by the village elder, Iryna Chipak. “In the spring, we plan to plant an alley of cherry blossoms, and near each tree, place a metal nameplate. Additionally, we want to improve the area by laying paving stones and installing benches so that this place becomes a space for memory and gratitude”, – noted the elder.
Sadly, eight graduates from the Ostriv school, who stood in defense of Ukraine, are now protecting us from the heavens. “We very much want to believe that there will be no more such painful losses”.
