On 30 June, defender Mykhailo Shvets will return to his home community “on the shield”. The mourning cortege with the soldier’s body is expected to be met in the village of Silets at approximately 11:30.
After the cortege arrives in the Kopani hamlet, a Requiem Service will be held in the yard of Mykhailo Shvets’s parental home.
The funeral rite will then continue in the Church of the Assembly of the Most Holy Mother of God, after which the fallen soldier will be buried in the cemetery in the village of Silets.
Residents of the community are urged to join the farewell and to honourably accompany Mykhailo Shvets on his final journey.
