On 19 October, in the village of Seredpiltsi, a one-year memorial service was held for a resident of the village, the fallen defender of Ukraine Volodymyr Hryhorovych Shlikha. He was one of the first residents of the community to volunteer to join the battalions and go to defend the country from the Russian aggressor.
During the commemoration, fellow villagers and relatives remembered Volodymyr Shlikha as a devoted warrior who, without hesitation, stood up to defend Ukraine. For his family and the entire community, this loss remains painful, and the grief for the fallen defender does not subside.
Those present prayed for the repose of the warrior’s soul and asked that his family be granted the strength to endure the consequences of this irreparable loss. Gratitude was expressed for his deed, heroism and self-sacrifice, thanks to which he will forever remain in the memory of the community.
The bright memory of Volodymyr Shlikha, as one of the first volunteers who stood up to defend Ukraine, is something the residents of Seredpiltsi promise to cherish in the years to come.
