Defender of Ukraine Vasyl Yuriyovych Sytar, born in 1974, has joined the Heavenly Legion.
For almost four years, Junior Sergeant Vasyl Sytar, who served as a combat medic of a mechanized platoon in military unit A4574, had been considered missing in action. Recently, the tragic news was confirmed: the Warrior died on August 1, 2022, near the village of Semyhiria in Donetsk region.
Vasyl Sytar fulfilled his military duty during the full-scale war, saving his comrades and defending Ukraine from Russian aggression. His life was cut short in the east of the country, where fierce battles continue for Ukraine’s freedom and independence.
At this sorrowful time, the community expresses sincere condolences to the family, loved ones, friends, and fellow soldiers of the fallen Hero. The pain of such a loss cannot be conveyed in words.
We bow our heads in mourning and share the grief of the family. The memory of Vasyl Sytar will forever remain among those who gave the most precious thing for Ukraine.
It is our common duty to remember the extremely high price paid for independence, freedom, and the right of Ukrainians to live in their own sovereign state.
