The Sheptytska community has received tragic news about the death of its Defender, Oleh Vasylovych Samsin, born in 1983.
Oleh Samsin served in the military with the rank of junior sergeant. He was the commander of a squad in a platoon of anti-tank guided missiles of military unit A4220.
For a year and a half, the soldier had been considered missing in action. Sadly, it has recently been confirmed that the Defender of Ukraine was killed on November 10, 2024, while carrying out a combat mission near the city of Kurakhove in Donetsk region.
The fallen Hero is mourned by:
- his parents;
- his wife;
- his daughter;
- his son;
- relatives, loved ones, and comrades-in-arms.
The Sheptytska City Council expressed sincere condolences to Oleh Samsin’s family, relatives, and fellow soldiers. The community shares the pain of this irreparable loss and bows its head in honor of the warrior’s memory.
Each such loss reminds us of the extremely high price Ukrainian Defenders pay for the independence, freedom, and future of our country.
