
Today in the village of Stankivtsi, a farewell ceremony was held for the young hero Mykola Shchepny. He died on February 20, 2026, during a combat mission in eastern Ukraine, near the settlement of Pokrovske in the Synelnykove district of Dnipropetrovsk region.
Mykola died defending the state, its freedom, and future. He remained faithful to the military oath and the Ukrainian people. He is survived by two young children. The village community is shrouded in mourning, with people kneeling as they escorted the hero on his final journey.
Tears, flowers, and national flags became symbols of deep gratitude and indescribable pain. Mykola’s name will forever remain in the community’s history and in the hearts of the people.
