A memorial plaque to the fallen defender Petro Vorik was unveiled in Strashevychi.
The plaque was installed on the facade of the Strashevychi school in the foothill village of Strashevychi. There are already three granite plaques on its wall. They perpetuate the memory of fellow villagers, school students who died in the war – Yaroslav Barshivskyi and Mykola Hrym.
On the eve of 25 February, the third plaque was unveiled – to the fallen hero Petro Voryk.
The community gathered in the courtyard of Strashevytske school to pay tribute to their fallen fellow villager Petro Voryk.
He was killed by Russia on 1 January 2024. He served in the 71st separate brigade of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces. The commander of a machine gun squad took his last battle near Avdiivka.
