A farewell will be held in Stryi for the warrior Arkadii Shafiiev from Donetsk region, who will find his eternal rest in the city. The ceremonies were announced by Stryi City Council.
The cortege with the defender’s body will arrive from Ivano-Frankivsk region and tomorrow, 11 August, at 13:00 will pass through the village of Myrtiuky.
In the evening of the same day, 11 August, at 19:00 a parastas will be held. The funeral services are scheduled for 12 August at 11:00 in the Church of St John the Baptist of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine in Stryi.
The City Council is calling on residents of Stryi and surrounding villages to pay their respects to the warrior on his final journey and to join in communal prayer.
