On 28 July, a peaceful event commemorating Ukrainian prisoners of war killed in the Olenivka terrorist attack will take place on Independence Square in Truskavets. Reports at the time stated that more than 50 prisoners were killed, most of them defenders of “Azovstal”.
The event is being organised by the charity organisation «ВОЛОНТЕРИм РАЗОМ», the Truskavets Municipal Centre for Social Services, the association “Volunteerky Kolo Dobroty” and the NGO “Free Them All”. The event is scheduled to start at 17:00.
Participants are invited to remember all the fallen defenders, in particular those who lived in the Truskavets community, as well as those who died across Ukraine, and to join in a common prayer for them.
The organisers stress that remembering prisoners of war and fallen soldiers is a shared duty of Ukrainians and of the entire civilised world.
