Iryna Tsybukh from Lviv Honored as a Righteous Among the Garden of the Righteous in Warsaw

Iryna Tsybukh, a volunteer combat medic from Lviv, has been posthumously honored with the title of Righteous Among the Garden of the Righteous in Warsaw — an award given to individuals who saved lives or stood up for human dignity and freedom.

This prestigious recognition commemorates her courageous service in the “Hospitallers”, a volunteer medical battalion that evacuates and treats the wounded on the front lines.

Iryna was born in Lviv on June 1, 1998, and tragically lost her life on May 29, 2024, just days before her 26th birthday, while evacuating the wounded in Donetsk Oblast. Her death was a profound loss to the medical and volunteer communities of Ukraine.

Being named a Righteous among the Garden is a symbolic tribute to those who risked or gave their lives for others — a legacy of bravery and selflessness.
