
In the Yavoriv community, another of the regular monthly remembrance events for fallen soldiers was held. This time they commemorated the defenders for whom October was the month of their death or killing during the Russian-Ukrainian war.
In October, they honour:
- Taras Zbozhnyi from the village of Verblyany — 10 years have passed since the day of his death. A serviceman of the 24th Separate Mechanised Brigade named after King Danylo, he died from severe wounds.
- Yevhen Khatsko — 3 years since the day of his death. He defended Ukraine as part of the 4th Separate Tank Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovskyi.
- Oleksandr Kondratiuk — 4 years since the day of his death in action. He was killed while carrying out a combat mission in Donetsk region and was posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage” III Class.
- Bohdan Taraban from the village of Hrushiv — 2 years since the day of his death. He took part in combat operations in the Luhansk and Donetsk sectors.
- Roman Hlushyk from the village of Drohomyshl — 4 years since the day of his death in action. He was killed during an offensive in Pavlivka, Donetsk region, and was posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage” III Class.
- Vasyl Lun from the village of Semyrivka — 3 years since the day of his death in action. He served in the 36th Separate Marine Brigade.
During the event, the families of the fallen servicemen, together with residents of the Yavoriv community, lit candles of remembrance and in prayer commemorated all the Defenders who gave their lives for Ukraine’s independence.
The participants stressed that the heroism of these soldiers will forever remain in the history of the Yavoriv community and the state, and that supporting their families is a shared duty of society.
