Today, a cortege bearing the body of fallen defender Oleksandr Kanivets will arrive in Yavoriv. Residents of the Yavoriv community are being urged to come out onto the streets and pay proper tribute as they receive the fallen soldier.
According to preliminary information, the cortege is expected to arrive at around 13:00 near Yavoriv Secondary School No. 3 named after Taras Shevchenko. After the reception, the funeral procession will proceed on foot to the Church of St George, where the funeral service will take place.
Residents of the community are asked to join in common prayer and in honouring the memory of Oleksandr Kanivets.
