On 3 June 2026, in the village of Zavydovychi of the Velykyi Liubin territorial community, the funeral will be held for the fallen defender of Ukraine Petro Hryhorovych Nykolyn. This was reported by the Velykyi Liubin territorial community.
Petro Nykolyn (03.07.1980 – 03.05.2024) was a native of the village of Zavydovychi of the Velykyi Liubin community. He served as a private, an anti-tank squad operator of the 4th special company of military unit A4122.
According to the community, the serviceman was killed on 3 May 2024 while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the settlement of Arkhanhelske in the Pokrovskyi district of Donetsk region.
On the day of the farewell, at 12:30 in Zavydovychi near the chapel, the mourning cortege will be met and the funeral rite will take place.
The community’s statement includes an appeal to residents to give a dignified welcome to the fallen defender and accompany him on his final journey, honouring his courage and sacrifice. The memory of defender Petro Nykolyn is described in the community as eternal.
