
The Zhovkva community has reported the death in the war of 25-year-old Vitalii Hryk from the village of Hlynsk. He was serving under contract and voluntarily stepped forward to defend Ukraine.
Vitalii Hryk was a second-category border service inspector, a UAV operator with the 1st Border Detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. His life was cut short on 22 August in the settlement of Kruhle in the Chuhuiv district of Kharkiv region while defending Ukraine.
It is reported that on 19 September at 14:00 a cortege with the defender’s body will be met on the square in Zhovkva. After this, the procession will proceed to Vitalii’s family home in Hlynsk, and then to the Church of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary, where the funeral service will take place.
The community extends its sincere condolences to the parents, fiancée, grandmother, grandfather, relatives, loved ones, friends and comrades-in-arms of the fallen warrior. In the Zhovkva community, 19 September has been declared a Day of Mourning for Vitalii Hryk.
