On the first day of October, the Hородок community commemorates service personnel who, in different years, were killed or died as a result of their service while defending Ukraine. This month marks the anniversaries of their deaths, and the community strives to preserve the memory of each of them for future generations.
Vitalii Dehtyannikov (26.10.1980 – 01.10.2025) was a resident of the village of Bratkovychi and a volunteer fighter of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade. He was tragically killed in Kirovohrad region as he was returning home for medical treatment. He is buried in the cemetery in Bratkovychi.
Yaroslav Vihor (21.04.1986 – 01.10.2024) lived in the village of Zelenyi Hai. He served in military unit A1910 and was a member of the crew of the anti-tank section of the fire support platoon of an airborne assault company. He was killed near the settlement of Obody in the Sudzha district of Kursk region (russian federation). He rests in the Alley of Heroes at the Hородок cemetery.
Volodymyr Popadyk (24.02.1994 – 02.10.2024), a resident of the village of Povitno, fought in the ranks of the 24th Separate Mechanised Brigade named after King Danylo. He was killed in the area of the settlement of Orikhovo-Vasylivka in Donetsk region. He is buried in the village cemetery in Povitne.
Vasyl Matiukhin (12.02.1993 – 03.10.2024) was born in the village of Vyshnia and later lived in the village of Hradivka. He served as a sailor in the 38th Separate Marine Brigade. He was killed in the Pokrovsk sector, near the settlement of Mykolaivka in Donetsk region. He is buried in Vyshnia.
Roman Chervinka (29.07.1983 – 10.10.2024), a resident of the village of Rodatychi, was a soldier of the 47th Separate Mechanised Brigade “Mahura”. He was killed while carrying out a mission to defend Ukraine near the settlement of Novoivanivka in the Sudzha district of Kursk region (russian federation). He is buried in the cemetery in Rodatychi.
Yurii Duda (06.05.1986 – 10.10.2025) lived in the town of Hородок. He was a serviceman of the 68th Separate Jaeger Brigade and fought in the Pokrovsk sector. He died at home while undergoing rehabilitation after his service. He is buried in the Alley of Heroes at the Hородок cemetery.
Andrii Shnitsar (02.12.1998 – 12.10.2023), a resident of the village of Halychany, served as a senior soldier in the 14th Separate Mechanised Brigade named after Prince Roman the Great. He was killed in action while performing a combat mission in the area of the strongpoint of Synkivka in the Kupiansk district of Kharkiv region. He is buried in Halychany. He was posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage” III class.
Yaroslav Kushyk (19.08.1994 – 19.10.2022) was originally from the village of Vovchukhy. A participant in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO), a graduate of the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy, he held the position of tank platoon commander in the 17th Tank Brigade. He was killed near the settlement of Piatykhatky in Kherson region. He is buried in the cemetery of the village of Dolyniany.
Viktor Zemzerev (16.02.1989 – 24.10.2015), a resident of Hородок, served as a grenadier in the 24th Separate Mechanised Brigade named after King Danylo. He died while on duty at a platoon strongpoint in the Novoaydar district of Luhansk region. He is buried in the municipal cemetery in Hородок.
Andrii Partyka (18.07.1988 – 31.10.2023) was born in the village of Rodatychi. He was a fighter of the 1st grenade launcher section of the grenade launcher platoon of the 2nd Jaeger Battalion. He was killed while carrying out a combat mission to defend Ukraine in the area of the settlement of Raihorodka in the Svatove district of Luhansk region. He is buried in the cemetery of the village of Myliatyn.
The community gratefully remembers every defender whose life was given in the struggle for Ukraine’s independence and security.
