The community of Belz district is enduring a grievous loss: Master Sergeant Viktor Volodymyrovych Omelnychuk — a border guard who served in the Kharkiv region — has returned to his native Uhniv on a shield, having given his life for Ukraine.
He had dreamed of coming home alive — of embracing his wife Mariana, seeing his children — little Dmytryk and Nadiyka, and kissing the hands of his mother Olha. But the war decreed otherwise, leaving behind an unbearable silence and an unhealing grief in his home.
The funeral service will take place on 10 March at 11:00. The Belz community calls upon all who care to come and accompany the Hero on his final journey and to pray for the repose of his soul.
