According to the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, the country plans to strengthen its combat aviation with Swedish Gripen fighter jets. These plans were announced during his visit to Lviv on 17 April.
The President emphasised that Ukraine, together with Sweden, is working on enhancing our air defence, particularly against ballistic missiles. He outlined a range of measures, including the production of necessary air defence systems in our country with the involvement of international partners.
The head of Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, also noted that this is only part of Ukraine’s overall strategy to bolster its security.
