Ukraine has carried out a special stage of a prisoner exchange, under which 10 Ukrainian soldiers have been brought home. The exchange took place via the territory of Belarus.
These are servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard who took part in the defence of the country in the Donetsk sector. All of them had previously been listed as missing in action.
The country’s leadership stresses the importance of every such exchange and underlines that efforts to bring Ukrainians home from captivity are ongoing. It is noted that the state remembers everyone who is still in captivity and is searching for each person by name.
We remember each and every one of those who remain in captivity. We are searching for every single name. And we will do everything to free them and bring them home.
The authorities assure that they will make every possible effort to secure the release of all Ukrainian defenders and civilians who are still being held by the enemy.
