Automation of Disability Data in the Reserve+ System
The government of Ukraine has passed a resolution that simplifies the process of displaying disability data in the Reserve+ system without the need for undergoing the medical commission (VLC).
Simplification of Offline Procedures
- Documents can be certified with a personal signature if the original is available.
- Documents can be submitted either by the persons with disabilities themselves or by their legal representatives.
- The VLC will make decisions based on the submitted documents and data from the electronic health care system.
“These changes are another step towards simplifying life for people with disabilities in the context of military registration,” said Kateryna Chernogorenko, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine for Digitalization.
It is reminded that people with disabilities are not subject to mandatory referral to the VLC. However, they retain the right to voluntarily obtain a commission’s opinion based on submitted documents.
