Sad news for the community – Vitaliy Vankevych died on June 12 while fulfilling his military duty.
Vitaliy Vankevych, born in 1995, was a physical education teacher at Gymnasium No. 2 and a football coach at sports school No. 2. His colleagues remember him as “a person of great heart and dedication to his work”. In 2014, he voluntarily joined the ranks of the armed forces of Ukraine, defending Ukraine as part of the 24th separate mechanized brigade.
On the sports school’s page, it was written: “His heart stopped beating while defending Ukraine. He not only nurtured young athletes but also became a true example of courage, dignity, and love for the Motherland. We will remember Vitalik as sincere, kind, energetic, always with a smile and a spark in his eyes”.
We express our sincere condolences to the Hero’s family and friends and share the pain of this irreparable loss. We must not forget the cost at which our Warriors fight for our independence. Eternal memory and glory to the Hero.
