Naguyevichi village resident Stepan Malets was killed while defending Ukraine. The warrior had been defending his native country since March 2023.
Stepan Malets was born on April 26, 1990, in the village of Naguyevichi, where he completed local school and Drohobych State Pedagogical University. He often worked abroad but returned home during the full-scale enemy invasion and joined the ranks of Ukraine’s defenders. **He was a machine gunner of the coastal defense** unit A7053.
The warrior’s life ended on October 28, 2025, in Kherson during the execution of military duties. He is survived by only his mother.
“We mourn with you, supporting you in this time of grief,” stated the Drohobych City Council.
The arrival of the funeral motorcade with the warrior’s body is scheduled for tomorrow, November 6th at 13:30 at the Crossing of Heroes. From there, the procession will proceed to his native home in the village of Naguyevichi, where a parastas will be held at 19:00.
The funeral service will take place on Friday, November 7th, at 11:00 in the Church of St. Nicholas in the village of Naguyevichi. The warrior will be buried in the cemetery in Naguyevichi village.
