It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Hero Oleh Shamanskyi, a resident of the city of Sokal.
Oleh Shamanskyi was born on December 22, 1991, in Sokal, where he graduated from the local school and vocational college. In December 2024, he was drafted into military service, where he served as a rifleman and assistant grenade launcher in the assault detachment of the Da Vinci Wolves’ 108th Brigade’s drone systems. Committed to military oath, he bravely fulfilled his duty, defending Ukraine, and perished on July 8, 2025, in the Pokrovske direction.
We express our sincere condolences on the Hero’s passing to his parents, sister Olena, brothers Viktor, Artem, Maksym, niece Olha, nephew Markiyan, comrades, and the entire family.
The reception of Hero Oleh Shamanskyi’s body will take place on July 15 at 14:00 near the church of Saints Apostles Peter and Paul. Immediately after the arrival, a memorial service and the burial rite will take place. Oleh will find his eternal rest at the Alley of Glory in Sokal.
