It is with deep sadness that we announce another loss in the Truskavets community – a soldier Vasyl Herych from Truskavets was killed at the front.
Vasyl Petrovych Herych, born in 1988, was called up for military service in the first weeks of the full-scale war, namely on 10 March 2022. He served as an electrician driver in the First Engineer Battalion, military unit A3817.
Yesterday, on 17 June, the soldier was seriously wounded while performing a combat mission near the village of Razine near Pokrovsk, Donetsk region. Unfortunately, doctors were unable to save the defender’s life. As a result of these severe injuries, Vasyl died on the same day. Next month, on 25 July, he would have turned 37 years old.
Information on the arrival of Vasyl Herych’s body, as well as the date and place of the funeral and the rite of passage will be provided later.
