A memorial plaque was unveiled in the city of Sokal in the Lviv region to commemorate the fallen soldier Igor Ilnytskyi.
The commemorative sign was installed on the facade of Sokal School No. 2, where the defender once studied. Igor Ilnytskyi served in the ranks of the 81st Separate Airmobile Slobozhanska Brigade. He participated in assault combat operations in hot spots. “By decree of the President of Ukraine, awarded the order ‘For Courage’ III degree, posthumously”, stated the message from the Sheptytskyi District State Administration. Igor was killed on October 7, 2024, during a combat mission in the Luhansk region. He was 41 years old.
