Vadym Kulyk from Drohobych Killed in Battle for Ukraine

The Drohobych community received the sad news of the death of Vadym Kulyk, who gave his life defending Ukraine. The warrior was born on 19 June 1969 in Medenychi, studied at School No. 10, and later obtained higher education at the Drohobych State Pedagogical University named after I. Franko.

From the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Vadym Kulyk voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine on 8 March 2022. Initially, he served in the local territorial defence, and later in military unit A7031 as a driver of the rifle section.

Unfortunately, on 24 March 2026, during a combat mission near the village of Bublykove in the Sumy region, his life was cut short. He is survived by his wife, two children, mother, and sister.

The Drohobych City Council, its executive committee, Mayor Taras Kuchma, and Council Secretary Orest Karakevych express their sincere condolences to the family and friends of Vadym Kulyk. Information about the arrival time of the funeral cortege and the funeral service will be announced additionally. Eternal memory to the Hero of Ukraine!
