Vasyl Pavlyshyn, who was born in the village of Pidhirtsi in the Stryi community, was killed while carrying out a combat mission near Dobropillya in the Donetsk region. Vasyl attended the local primary school and Dashava secondary school, gaining vocational education at Stryi College. He lived in Stryi with his family.
The soldier was mobilised in April 2023. The funeral will take place in his native village of Pidhirtsi, with the burial scheduled for 1 April at 11:30. The hero will be welcomed on 31 March at 15:00 in the village of Piatnychany, and the vigil will begin at 19:00.
