
Vasyl Seniv, a serviceman of a rifle company responsible for the protection and defence of important state facilities of the National Guard of Ukraine, was killed in action while carrying out a combat mission in Donetsk region. The soldier was born on 18 September 1987 and lived in Stryi.
As a child and teenager, he studied at the Ivan Franko Lyceum in Stryi (formerly School No. 3), and later continued his education at the Lviv Polytechnic National University. For many years he worked at the company “Telelan”.
In 2024, Vasyl Seniv was mobilised into the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine. He served diligently in a rifle company responsible for the protection and defence of important state facilities.
On 21 October 2025, the serviceman was killed while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Novoekonomichne in the Pokrovskyi district of Donetsk region. After that, he was considered missing for almost a year.
The fallen defender is survived by a young daughter. His parents, wife, grandmother, sister and other relatives and friends are struggling to cope with the loss; they call Vasyl a Hero who gave his life in the fight for Ukraine.
