Senior Sergeant, defender of Ukraine Vasyl Burko from the Velyki Mosty community has been posthumously honoured with the “Combatant’s Cross” decoration by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The award was presented for the courage he showed in the struggle for Ukraine.
The decoration was received by the serviceman’s wife, Olha, and his son, Serhii. For the family, this award has become a symbol of the bravery and self-sacrifice of Vasyl Burko, who stood up to defend his Homeland.
The community expresses its gratitude and respect to the fallen warrior and preserves the memory of his contribution to Ukraine’s freedom.
