The Velykomostivska community mourns the loss of their compatriot who died in battle for Ukraine.
With deep sorrow, we announce that in a battle for Ukraine, our compatriot – Volyak Volodymyr Tarasovych, born in 1997, originally from the village of Dvirsti, has died. He lived with his family in the city of Lviv, but the Defender will be buried in his native village. Being faithful to the military oath, Volodymyr heroically performed a combat mission while carrying out activities necessary to ensure the defense of Ukraine, protecting the safety of the population and the state’s interests. On October 11, 2025, in the area of the settlement of Zorya in the Novhorod-Siverskyi district of the Chernihiv region, the soldier received a fatal injury. The Hero leaves behind a mother, a sister with nephews, and grandparents.
We urge everyone to come tomorrow, October 23rd, and honorably see Volodymyr off, giving the Defender due tributes. The funeral cortege will be met tomorrow in the city of Velyki Mosty on the central square around 1:00 PM. Following the meeting, the cortege will proceed to the native village of Dvirsti, where the funeral ceremony and farewell with the Hero will take place.
