Farewell to Young Defender Volodymyr-Ivan Lozynskyi
Today is another sad day for the Velykomostivska community, a day when we bury another fallen Defender, a faithful son of his country. We have laid our Hero – Volodymyr-Ivan Lozynskyi – to rest for the final journey.
A Life Cut Short by War
He was only 25 years old… He had his whole life ahead of him: plans, dreams, love. A girl waited for him at home, with whom they were building a future together — dreaming of a wedding, a family, children, and simple human happiness. But the war took him… ruthlessly and prematurely.
A Warrior of Light
Volodymyr was a true warrior of light. Fearlessly looking into the eyes of his enemies, he believed in Victory and defended his native land to his last breath. He served in the independent battalion named after Mykhailo Kotsyubaylo “Da Vinci’s Wolves,” side by side with the best sons of Ukraine.
Today, his comrades came to his native village to pay their last respects to one who became a brother to them in battle. He was seen off on his final journey with military honors and buried in the cemetery in the village of Kupychvolia.
Melancholic melodies of the military band were heard, tears shimmered on faces, and hearts tightened with unspeakable pain.
The Hero’s parents were presented with the national flag — a symbol of his unwavering loyalty to Ukraine.
It is impossible to find words to heal this wound… Impossible to erase the pain that has settled in the hearts of parents, brothers, loved ones, comrades, and everyone who knew Volodymyr.
He will forever remain young. Forever remain a Hero.
Eternal memory to you, Defender! Eternal glory and boundless gratitude for your courage and sacrifice.
