Veteran from the Velyki Mosty community receives housing certificate

One of the veterans from the Velyki Mosty community has become a participant in the state programme to provide housing for defenders and has received a certificate to purchase his own home.

It is reported that in total, housing purchase certificates have been issued to 18 veterans from the Sheptytskyi district. Some of them were solemnly presented with the documents by the Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, and the Deputy Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, Ruslan Prykhodko, while the other defenders will receive their certificates in their own communities.

Under the terms of the programme, veterans’ families can independently choose housing on either the primary or secondary property market, provided that the house or flat has already been commissioned.

It is noted that the initiative is being implemented thanks to decisions by the President of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Ministry for Veterans Affairs, with the support of the European Union within the Ukraine Facility Platform.

During the presentation, emphasis was placed on the importance of helping former service personnel after their return from the front line – from consultations and collecting documents to receiving compensation, as well as supporting their families and creating conditions for a dignified life.

The ceremony was also attended by the families of fallen Defenders of Ukraine, who received certificates in place of their husbands, fathers and brothers who gave their lives for the country’s independence.
