The first stage of the prisoner exchange took place within the agreements reached during the negotiations in Istanbul.
Our young warriors, aged up to 25, have returned home. Among them are fighters from the Naval Forces, Ground Forces, Territorial Defense Forces, Air Force, Air Assault Forces, Border Guard Service, National Guard, and the State Special Transport Service.
The Defenders of Mariupol, who have been held in enemy captivity for over three years, will finally return to their families, as well.
I sincerely thank the President of Ukraine, the negotiating team, the Coordination Headquarters for the treatment of prisoners of war, and everyone who contributed efforts to make this exchange possible.
I believe we will bring back all our people.
