Victor Kazymiruk from Stebnyk Killed in Action for Ukraine

On 27 April, the Drohobych community bade farewell to a defender of Ukraine — Victor Kazymiruk, a resident of the town of Stebnyk. He gave his life for the freedom and independence of our country. A funeral procession arrived at the community, where relatives, friends, comrades, clergy and concerned townspeople gathered at the intersection of Heroes to honour his memory with a joint prayer.

The procession then proceeded to Stebnyk, where a city-wide farewell took place at Shevchenko Square. The main part of the ceremony, the funeral service, was held at the Church of the Transfiguration in Stebnyk, after which the defender was buried in the Alley of Glory in Drohobych.

Kazymiruk, who was born on 1 September 1993, was a native of Stebnyk. He studied at Truskavets Secondary School No. 1 and worked in the security of Drohobych Correctional Colony No. 40. With the onset of the full-scale war, he stood up to defend Ukraine. His connection was lost on 18 January 2024 in the area of the village of Tabaiivka in the Kharkiv region, and he was considered missing since then.

He is mourned by his parents, wife, two sons, daughter, elder brother and grandmother. Eternal memory to the Hero of Ukraine.
