On 6th May, the Turka community honours the memory of Ukraine’s Hero Vizhaj Surmaj. A memorial service is scheduled at 13:00 in the city of Sambir near the S. Bandera monument. Following this, at 13:40, there will be a gathering in the city of St. Sambir, and at 13:55 in the village of Strilky. Approximately at 14:20-14:30, the Hero will be received in the village of Rozluch.
In the town of Turka, the gathering will take place approximately at 15:00-15:10 near the statue of the Virgin Mary in Rynok Square. The cortege with the body of the fallen soldier Vizhaj will proceed to the Church of the Protection of the Holy Virgin on S. Striltsiv Street in Turka. The funeral service will be held on the same day at 15:20.
We urge everyone to come out to the road to meet and honour Ukraine’s defenders. Heroes do not die! Glory to Ukraine!
