During the night of September 3, Lviv came under a large-scale drone attack. According to preliminary information, the enemy launched approximately 15 kamikaze drones towards the city. Thanks to the swift and effective response of air defense forces, no casualties were reported.
Despite the successful interception of most drones, one unmanned aerial vehicle caused partial destruction to a warehouse facility. A fire broke out as a result of the strike but was quickly extinguished by emergency services.
District administrations in Lviv are currently conducting additional inspections of the city to assess possible consequences of the attack and to identify any further infrastructure damage.
Mayor Andriy Sadovyi expressed his gratitude to the Ukrainian military for their continued bravery and skill in defending Lviv from hostile actions.
