Volodymyr Taratula from Bratkovychi posthumously honoured with award of Commander of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade

Ukraine’s defender from the village of Bratkovychi, Volodymyr Taratula, has been posthumously awarded the Commander of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade “Honour and Valour” decoration, 2nd class. The award was presented during a ceremony for the conferment of state and departmental honours.

As reported by the Lviv District State Administration, the award for the fallen soldier was received by his brother, Yaroslav Taratula. The distinction is an expression of gratitude for his selfless fulfilment of military duty, courage and sacrifice shown in defending the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Volodymyr Taratula, a serviceman of military unit A0501, was born on 16 May 1975. He was killed on 5 December 2024 while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the settlement of Kamyshivka in the Kursk region.

The community pays tribute to Volodymyr Taratula and expresses its gratitude for his military service and contribution to the defence of Ukraine.
