I am sure that Ukraine will make our Europe stronger than ever – address of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi

In an address on November 1, the President reported that most enemy targets in several regions had been destroyed.

“I wish you health, dear Ukrainian men and women!

First of all, gratitude to our defenders of the sky – soldiers of mobile fire groups, Ukrainian pilots and soldiers of anti-aircraft missile forces, all units that destroy Russian aircraft, missiles and drones… Last night, 18 “shaheeds” and one guided air missile were shot down. Unfortunately, there are a few hits. But most of the enemy targets were destroyed. And, in particular, in Poltava region, and Chernihiv, Sumy regions, in Vinnytsia and Khmelnytskyi regions, in other regions of our country. I thank our soldiers for this. We should all clearly remember: every such shooting is the saving of people and infrastructure. And I ask all Ukrainians to pay attention to air warning signals and to consider that, although we are strengthening air defense as much as possible, the danger is still significant. Especially in cities like Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson. In cities and villages of Kherson region, Donetsk region. In Chernihiv Oblast, Sumy Oblast. You should be careful and not treat the danger lightly.

Today, I held several important meetings and, as always, the selector: military, intelligence, government officials responsible for the situation in the regions. He also held a meeting with our team, which represented Ukraine at the meeting of advisors regarding the Peace Formula. We discussed the main details and outcomes of this summit. Certain things – very useful for Ukraine, for international law in general – we have not made public yet. The reason is clear: we do not give Russia a chance to disrupt our international efforts. But I can say that this, already the third meeting of advisers, has become even stronger than the two before it. Consolidation of the world continued. There is a final document of the co-chairs of the meeting of advisers in Malta. And there are many signals from representatives of states, in particular the Global South and our partners in Europe and America, which confirm the correctness of our course to unify the world around the Peace Formula, so that the principles of fair peace, full restoration of the force of international law are the joint plan of the world majority. Today at the meeting, we determined the main steps that we will take in the coming months to add more content to the Peace Formula.

One more very important thing. Today has a special geopolitical and value meaning. This day, November 1, is actually celebrated as the birth of the European Union. Thirty years ago, the Maastricht Treaty entered into force, which laid the foundations of modern European unity. There was a lot of opposition to a united Europe, a lot of despair about a united Europe. Anti-European politics is still a very loud part of the political spectrum in various countries. In particular, in those countries whose Euro-optimism is critically important for maintaining peace and normal order in Europe and the world. But the European Union has proven more than once that it is capable of overcoming crises, capable of defending itself, capable of maintaining valuable leadership in the world, capable of becoming stronger when Europe’s enemies expect only weakness from it.

We value our Europe, a Europe of interaction, not of disputes, a Europe of people, not of ideologies, because only in this way is our continent able to protect and protect human lives both in the countries of Europe and in the world. I am sure that Ukraine will make our Europe stronger than ever, and we are working as actively as possible so that no obstacle remains for our entry into the European Union. And I’m also sure that, no matter how events develop in the world, in our other partners and in America, and anywhere else, unity will still win. Unity, not division. Unity, not calls for self-isolation.

I thank everyone for helping Ukraine, for joint actions in protecting our European values. And I also thank all those in the world who help to preserve unity: everyone from Washington to every capital of the world, in which people and life are valued.

Glory to all who fight for freedom! Glory to our soldiers!

Glory to Ukraine!”, the President said.
