The Lviv Regional Military Administration together with the Lviv IT Cluster and the West Air Command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine initiated a project on technical modernization of the command and analytical centers of the West Air Command. The project was named “Sky”.
The head of the Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytskyi spoke about the importance of implementing this project.
“In the Lviv region alone, more than 20 shot down missiles and 10 enemy unmanned aerial vehicles are the result of the tireless work of the West Air Command during the two months of full-scale war waged by Russia. In the Sky project, Lviv OVA became a bridge of communication, thanks to which PvK Zakhid and not only successful but also socially responsible business – Lviv IT Cluster, together with which we are already implementing such important security projects as chatbot ” Something is Flying ”, with the help of which attentive people can report suspicious flying objects, and we are also developing a system of ultra-accurate recognition of people and cars. “Thanks to the Sku project, PvK Zakhid will now work even more efficiently,” the head of the region said during a press briefing.
Stepan Veselovskyi, CEO of the Lviv IT Cluster, informed that the Cluster supports the Sku project and finances the purchase and modernization of the technical support of the analytical, command and further operational centers of PvK Zapad.
“Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian troops, the Lviv IT Cluster has joined in helping our hometown, region and the country as a whole. The issue of safe skies is especially important given the constant shelling of Ukrainian cities. This project involves the modernization of command and analytical centers that monitor the sky and repel enemy attacks from the air. It is these centers that ensure the security of the entire west of Ukraine. We are happy to help and will continue to help to defeat the enemy, “said Stepan Veselovsky.
Denis Levkovych, a representative of the West West, added that the implementation of the Sk project envisages the modernization of the technical support of the West analytical and command centers. The second stage will be the modernization of the Command’s operational centers.
“I am extremely grateful to everyone who joined this project. This is not the first time we have implemented such projects – thanks to joint efforts with Lviv OVA. We have already started this project and installed the first high-tech tools that will help us respond faster to the enemy’s challenges and make the right decisions, “explained Denis Levkovich.
